How many times have you had to turn off the news because you couldn’t listen to any more negative stories? Oftentimes those that are doing the most good in the world are ignored by the media and the purpose of Civic Duty is to highlight those in communities that are providing hope and assistance to their fellow man.

“You must be the change you wish to see in the world”       – Mahatma Gandhi

Civic Duty will serve as a news source for those who are helping out at homeless shelters, volunteering at their local soup kitchens, travelling overseas to help the impoverished in developing countries, or taking a stand on human rights issues. Whether these are individuals or organizations actively seeking to promote the betterment of their fellow man you will find information about them at Civic Duty.

We encourage you to take part in the promotion of these extraordinary charities and individuals by nominating someone for inclusion in our “Nominate a Do-Gooder” section, where you will have the opportunity to tell the story of someone that is making a difference at a local or global level that you admire and respect. In this way we will be able to celebrate the good together.
